Process of making
Reflection:
What went well?
– Playing with different materials
– Going crazy with the place (Fantasy World Forest) – main reason why I wanted things to be “unnatural” like glowing and changing colour.
– A1 ratio experiments
What went bad?
– Some termochromic pigments didn’t work as I wanted.
– Termochrome didn’t work when mixed with acrylic paint colours.
– Workshops at DAE – Most of my progress I did in one week at home in Poland.
– The design is a bit fragile – already have an idea how to improve it a bit.
– Mould making, well it is not fully possible to reproduce with mould, but I had an idea and decided to stick to something I made during the first class.
– Burning A1 – I tried but the sample started exploading in every direction with small pieces, so I just stopped. (there is no sample provided)
What have I learned?
– A lot about materials and about chemistry.
– Prices in NL are way higher than in Poland (22€ difference in Silicone)
What I am not sure about?
If the website will work and show the process properly.
